To find your current balance call 0845 6400881 and select option 2. There doesn't appear to be any way to check the points or credit online.

The points are supposed to be automatically converted to £'s on your card every 3 to 6 months. If you don't spend it you lose it.

I'm going to see what I have and spend it because I am looking to switch to a better energy plan.

I have been with scottish hydro for around 4 years on this argos saver

only today i have managed to sign into the relevant site and set up my card and points

after doing lots of enquiring to many 0845 telephone numbers ive now found out that i have £105 credit available to spend

ok so if 500 points is £1 on the card given that it gives you 10 points for every £1 spent on gas/electricty

for me to have gained £105 that equates to 52500 points, divide over 10 and it gives me the value i have spent in order to gain this £105... which is.... £5250

again which averages to £1312.50 a year spent on combined gas and electricity

The Maths is sound, what i have appears to be correct and has rolled over and over and over each 3 months giving me £105

yeh sound crappy doesnt it... well you would be right, it is very crappy, the only real benifits i see from this Tariff is that you get 10% off argos catalogue and if you use the card wisely and use the 10% discount credit offer this could push your discount to 20% on purchases from argos using the saver card,

im happy to spend my free £105 but for what it has cost me to get to this point id have prob been better on another tariff

im also under the impression now this tarrif is no longer available and is running only with existing argos tariff customers

it was hell trying to get this sorted!, glad its done with, time to change tariff i think... as soon as ive spent my free monies :P
