half term on the cheap

karren

Ive a few ideas and wondered if anyon else could help me out?

Vue cinema is 95p each over half term and they are showing Planet 51
odeon are showing 2d but thats £2.20 and adults go free

Trips to the park in wellies with the dog and ball etc (hot chocolate in flask and hot dogs in flask and rolls)

Game day with lots of mates etc, dig out all the board games etc

Craft day as my 6 year old has to make a dragon for her half term project so that will use up the junk fromthe recycling bin and take ages

Baking cakes and making cakes to freeze etc, so they can help do that too

summerday

Do also check out what your local museums are offering, they may have free activities going on for kids.

Have fun!

Tom we are off to vue to watch planet 51 for 95p each then over to the museum as they both love it there, then macdonalds with a mate who we havent met up with in ages.

Tue free swimming in the local pool then ive promised to bake with them both then free dvd from the blockbuster deal and homemade popcorn

Thanks for posting this! I was going to say the offer had finished on the 2nd Feb but it seems they have extended it for another year and is now available every week day.

My local one is in a nearby 5 star hotel which is great!

We are lucky in that our council offers free swimming for everyone under 16 and over 60.

I never spend much on school holidays I find the places that cost in excess off 25 quid offer the least amount of entertainment. We normally pack a picnic the night before pack all the kids in the car and head out somewhere for the day.
This is a good site for listings of free entry museums and country parks (weather permitting obviously) http://www.dofreestuff.com/index.html.
