How do I ditch my current provider?

I recently took advantage of eggs 3.9% offer and balanced transferred £2000 to them.
However Ive had a little dispute with them, to the extent the guy indirectly threatened to call in the full balance (although when challenged he insisted he was not threatening to do so, merely pointing out I own them money. Duh!)
Never had a problem paying bill, always paid on time via direct debit etc etc. Problem has arisen over a small charge they insist my merchant must repay, not them as the provider. Anyway thats not the problem....
How do I get a new provider to take on my balance? I havent yet applied for any cards, any recommendations etc? Problem will be as my credit limit with egg is so high other lenders will likely not wish to lend...
