What to wear? and childcare grant

Options
Hi all, I am struggling with a couple of things at the moment and wondered if anyone can help. First thing is I have a couple of interviews at Manchester universities for the Social Work diploma. I have put a bit of weight on since christmas due to being unwell and need to buy something new to wear, but what should I wear? Smart/ casual or all out smart suit? Due to the weight gain being temporary I don't want to spend too much money, but want to look the part at the same time. Also the second thing is we have been advised to apply for student funding now to avoid any delays. I have received the childcare grant forms and am unsure, as the course states the first year will involve 2 full days but you must be available for the full week, so do I put down all week for childcare or just the 2 days? Any help will be greatly welcomed.

xx

  • When I attended the interview for the MA in social work I went in smart black trousers and a white shirt and black tank top. The other candidates were smartly dressed.

In regards to your childcare form it is only an estimate so you could put down everyday even if you are not in uni as you are expected to do independent research for the other days.

I agree with AOTG, just wanted to add that you should wear something you feel comfortable in. It'll help your confidence and hopefully stop you fidgetting too much.
Good luck in your interview :)

    Hi newlysingle

Firstly best of luck with your interviews.

Dont spend a fortune hun - anything smart will be fine - they want to see you not a very expensive suit. Anything you feel comfortable in so that you feel confident - if you wear your best smile then you will be a knockout
