How to fit a video file onto a dvd that is too big ?

As the title says is there any programs I can download to decrease the quality of a video file so its smaller and will fit on a dvd. I use dvd+r if that makes any difference

What is the video file?

its an mpeg although there is an wmv i have the same but thats not too important

but theres no folder just the actual file sorry if im being simple

point it to the folder where the file is, or move it to a new folder.

c:\ is still a folder

still no luck it says

Dvd shrink encountered an error and connot continue
failed to open (path)

the system cannot find the file specified

the file is fine and works if it means anything its from p2p i know your not meant to talk about p2p on here though

try renaming the file to video_ts.vob

there are other tips on the videohelp site if that doesn't work.
