There are 6 of us going to Florida next May from Manchester to Orlando. We have an oportunity to pre book seats on the flights, having looked at https://www.seatguru.com there are 3 confiurations for Virgin 747's.
Would anyone happen to know what the seating plans are for the aircraft operated out of Manchester please?

If its any use to you they tend to use the older planes from Manchester the new ones go from Gatwick.0

having had a look at https://www.seatguru.com, i would imagine that the version would be either 2 or 3 as there are more economy seats in those 2 configurations, in an ideal world I would like to know which version they use!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure!0

See here and pick the appropiate aircraft

You should also be able to pull the seat map on the virgin.com (using e-ticket or res. number) and make a fair comparison with seatguru. (to see the seat ratings)
Also note that considering your flight is so far ahead there is a possibility of equipment change for that route. So it's worth checking from time to time to see if your assigned seats have changed.0 -
Use the option on the virgin website (manage my booking). They will have the configuration there and you can chose your seats. You can then compare with seat guru for the rating. No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Have finally managed to sort out which version after a call to Virgin, it seems I was trying to use the tavel agent reference as opposed to the E ticket number, thanks to all for thew help.
BTW, it's version 2 on seatguru for the 747 from Manchester to OrlandoI used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure!0 -
We have just returned from a Virgin Mcr/Orlando flight. Sat in rows 44 4bc 45ab on the way out and 29hjk and 30jk on the way back. The rows nearer the front were better as you were ofloaded first as it is done row by row. Great flights though would fly with them again just a pain driiving all the way back to Edinburgh half asleep though,0

flew Virgin Atalantic to Las Vegas in May
i recommend the twilight check in the afternoon / night before for the chance of getting a emergency exit bulkhead seat.
if not then book your seats online with virgin when you get your tickets. avoid window seats leg room is NOT GOOD.
and get near the front of the plane on the way out to avoid being at the back of the queue for Border control.
:ABetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
