Is there any FREE software that will allow me to lay a video clip over/into another?

Hi all

I am fimiliar with loads of free software for editting photos etc. I am also familiar with windows movie maker and how it works etc. However, I want to do something else. I have a home video clip of a friend of mine dancing like an idiot when drunk. Basically, I wanted to take that clip of his silly dancing and somehow import/paste it into another video clip of some other people dancing normally at a different party from a different date/time etc. Any ideas?

Perhaps someone has a better idea, but unless he was dancing in front of a blue screen, you will probably need a hollywood studio setup to do that sort of thing...
