VMWare rules, it's a perfect Sandbox environment for testing. If you have files you suspect are dodgy just run them in the VMBox , if it breaks it your PC is still intact and secured. I've got 3 VMs atm Windws7, Centos and Windows XP pro. Good for knowledge training I need more ram however, the Windows 7 soaks it up like a !!!!!

True, it's mainly because I've specified 1GB Ram max for Windows 7, I don't wanna delve into swap files and rubbish
I'll whack in another 14 Gig at some stage but not atm, I hate the way the interface looks in Windows 7Owner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

I think it renames Windows to Windows.old.

The weird thing is that I am only left with 24 gb if files and I'm transfering them over now which is taking hours lol but oh well0

It's always essential to backup stuff you don't want to lose, regardless of what operating system you're running and whether or not you're upgrading it. The risk of something going wrong is higher during an upgrade, obviously, but it's always present.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
