    Why would you need one?

Ring HMRC and ask for one if you are worried.
If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 7555

    Hello,

i never recieved mine, never had one it went missing in the post so i trundled down to the job centre (10yrs ago now) and they explained that they don't replace them even though i never got one in the first place, and wrote my number on a post it note and told me to remember it.
i'd be interested to know if you do get a replacement.
    thanks
  • Same happened to me, never got one and when I asked they said they wouldnt replace it, so don't worry about it... which beggars the question why produce them at all?! A government money saving exercise right there :)
  • Apparently you can get a replacement:

why do you even need one? surely it will be on your payslips if you work, if you don't work it will be on any letter from the benefits office or on your bank statement if you get direct payments.

My first card was sent to the wrong address so I rang and got another one sent, then that got stolen. They said that you're only allowed 2 cards in your lifetime so now I just remember the number..
