online current account to be used abroad

Hi all,
I'm looking for the best deal on a UK based internet current account that I can access/withdraw from whilst in Australia. Need something that doesn't specify a minimum amount to be paid in each month, would really like an incentive, and obviously need the fees for withdrawal to be minimal....
I don't ask for much do I? :A

Please help this newbie ;)

I was going to suggest the Co-op Bank Pathfinder account- I have one and use it for bits and pieces. Interest rate minimal but accessible online and xfers can be made to other accounts (needs checking if xfers to Aussie accounts OK).

Doubt if it's what you want but then I thought - wonder if you want to withdraw in Aussie dollars. If so you are looking for a pretty specialised account - and I'm afraid that's not my field!

    Best of luck. schiff

If you will be using your debit card to withdraw cash from cash machines, almost every bank will charge you a 2.75% foreign currency fee. Only Nationwide will not apply this charge, so you should definitely check out their current account. I'm not a Nationwide customer, but customer feedback on this forum is mostly positive.

Nationwide is the way to go. I have used it for many years in many different countries. It is perfect for going abroad.
