Paying for a Course in London

Hi I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, help or suggestions for me. I have just auditioned and gained a place on a btec professional diploma in music at a top London music school. My only issue now is funding. I come from a low income background and will be moving to London for the course. I understand I can get a Professional and Career Development Loan to pay the £5250 for the course itself but I am unsure of how I can fund my maintenance and living costs or even if there are any grants or support networks for such things
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Micki

You can add living costs to the fees on a PCDL.0 -
Speak to the school and ask how students usually fund their placements - they're going to have a lot more experience of the specific types of funding you can get.
There are a few links to grant search sites here
And I'm pretty sure there's another grant search engine somewhere, but I can't remember the name or web address. Hopefully someone will come along and tell you.0 -
when i asked they said alot of there students use the PCDL
the music school also offer scholarships to some students so im applying for that aswell
Grants confuse me in genral they seem to have so many catches that i dont know what i can get from who or even if i can at all0
