Are electric ovens a standard fit?

We brought our house 3 years ago which has a small but nicely designed built in kitchen however it has a fault which its had ever since we moved in. The fault is to do with a sensor in the oven. At first every few days this sensor would get set off and we'd turn the oven off and it'd go away but its getting worse and worse.
We had a technician come round to look at it and one of the circuit boards need replacing. While we booked the call he said it isn't worth getting repaired as they'd charge £100+ to fix and the oven was several years old anyway, I agreed with this and while we have put up with it for over 3 years now the fault is getting worse. Today I had to turn the oven off and on at the plug 6 times before it finally decided to work properly and the wife is getting annoyed!
Anyway the oven is a Baumatic B20555-A 60cm electric oven. I've seen it removed before and it does come out pretty easily. However is a 60cm oven a standard fit? Can I just go through any manufacturer of oven and it would fit without messing up the surroundings since its a built in oven?
Any advice appreciated. :j

I think they're all made to go into a standard unit.
I have a Baumatic, i think it may be the same model as yours and there's only four screws to undo at the front to pull it out.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Yes they are all a standard size.0

Size should not be a problem, thing to check is what power rating is your existing oven and what power is the new one. If your existing oven is 3kW or less then chances are its run off a socket, so a higher power oven will need its own circuit run from the consumer unit. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

Not sure what your problem is, 60cm is 60cm whoever the manufacturer is. What you need to do is to make absolutely sure that the cooker you buy is 60cm or less. You can do this by taking a flexible rule with you when you go out to buy the new one.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
If it's built into a tall housing, then there's no problem ... except for checking the power rating, as Keith said.
Very occasionally there's a problem if the oven is built under a hob. Some hobs project downwards more than others and some ovens have slightly more of a recess at the top than others. Still should be ok, though.
