just seen the new offer from Eon (Fix on line 6) and my last contract Capped Price runs out on the 1st March.This was fuel capped at 2006 standard price.Thought i was in for a massive hike in price when the NEW offer of Eon price protection April 2012 was what i would be moved to if they did not hear from me.It was not till i read what i had been paying that suddenly i was aware a 20% premium !! was being charged for being capped.Now i know martin has mentioned not always best to cap but i was never aware of this premium and i have never found it on my bills.Does anyone know if the the rates with any supplier have "hidden" premiums before i move !

I think you'll find they are all designed to be hard to work out.
If you didn't calculate the online discount for FixOnline, and just looked at the basic rate, it looks the same as most of the other tariffs.
