Seriously considering an IVA but unsure whether it will go through.....

Well you would say that wouldn't you? But you do 6 monthly reveiws instead of the normal 12 after having people in DMPs with Baines and ernst your (parent co?) for months before hand . You really don't let a penny past you. Easy for all of us to claim this and that here, but we arn't getting paid by IVAs or Bankruptcies and only give opinion gleaned from people who come to us for advice. There are of course scale issues , you do the most, you get the most gripes. however i think percentage wise you don't do well at all. I'm not a disgruntled client I am a disgruntled ex mortgage advisor that has had to try and clean up after companies like the one you represent. I'm not sat here paid by IPs to post pro IVA posts either . Now who could that be? Soooo transparent.0

Shall i dare assume you're talking about me - among others! Do you ever get tired of being proved wrong? As it happens I don't get paid to post here... You couldn't pay me enough to post here at 2am and reply to pm's at all hours... I do it coz i care. I do it whether the question comes from someone who's in an IVA at B&E or Payplan or CCCS... Who's going to pay for that? I happen to be lucky enough to be in a position to post here, same as i am thankful for those that post replies to my gardening questions on the other forum: they know their subject and i know mine! Also, i don't get the relevance or significance of B&E reviewing every 6months instead of 12. Are we to scorn them for being thorough! When a debtor's situation changes you sometimes need to vary the proposal - up OR down! Do you honestly think a £10 uplift in monthly contributions buys one more Bentley down at the B&E compound! It's more likely money for creditors surely - but perhaps Nick will be on to correct me if i'm wrong, perhaps not!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

I send my payslips in twice a year - ( to BE!) but have NEVER been asked to change my payments other than at my annual review. Far as I know, they are just keeping on top of what I get with the 6 monthly sendings ( keeps me up to date with what I have too!) - not trying to screw meDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

Hi there,
I am with B & E and have only had 12 monthly reviews, they have never asked for 6 monthly reviews. i will say this make sure your I & E is correct and you can manage on it, because if things change it is SO hard to go back to them to get things changed. I have had to write a letter on complaint to get things dealt with and still don't know if that is going to work!!!
Also with the fee's just be aware that your first year, not a penny will go to creditors, all mine has gone to the company and the IP's. Wish I had looked into this a bit more before i started as maybe I would have gone another route, but I just wanted to get my situation started that I just went with the first company.
Just look around and see who is out there, 5yrs is a long time to be unhappy, go with people that are willing to work for you and help you.0
