Hardship

Natwest have asked for proof of income and expenditure. I sent the form ages ago but they want proof now! Bills loans etc.
Does anyone have access to what criteria they use in assesing hardship by any chance??

ie should I be spending £300 a month on shopping?
Do they expect us to live on Tesco value beans? I've asked a series of questions but they won't tell and say they do not have access to what the criteria is.

I know they won't allow things like Sky. Do they allow internet payments for instance. How much should my shopping bill be before they say i'm overspending? Petrol costs! Will they say get the bus or get a second hand bike/ How deep does this thing get scrutinised?

  • thx for that.
It just seems that they will pick on anything you spend money on and say you're not in hardship.
Tesco value Beans and it is then :-(

Read page 20 of the lending code, link on my signature, and apply your circumstances to it.
