labour cost for floor tiling

My builder has invoiced me 219 hrs ( 3 men x 8hrs/day x 9 days) work for laying 65 sq.metres of 12mm limestone tiles in my new kitchen - This seems to be excessive as, at his rate of £21/hr, this works out at £71 per square metre. (Note all tiles and materials were supplied by me)
What is considered to be a reasonable rate per square metre for such a job?

For natural stone I'd be expecting in the £ 40 - £ 45 persqm bracket inclusive of addy and grout.
What makes you think his tiler works for £ 21/hour?

Thanks for your response Keystone
In reply to your question - he has invoiced me £4599 (+vat) for 219hrs work ( and this was with me supplying the tiles, adhesive, grout etc) - and I also sealed and waxed them myself.0 -
That does seem exessive mate, I just got quoted £45 per m2 for labour adhesive and grout by my builder.0

Oh dear. I really think you should be questioning this invoice very, very rigourously particularly as you supplied the gear and finished the job yourself.. It looks to me like a multiplication error in raising the paperwork. Thanks for your response Keystone
