hiya
i've not long bought this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-0828.aspx i only use it with the mains lead - is it best to take and leave the battery out?
i don't use the laptop away from home which is why i only use the mains.

well if you remove the battery the battery will completely discharge and you may damage the battery long term if is kept dead i would leave it in personally0

Provided it will run with the battery out (most will) the battery will last much longer, especially if you don't let it self-discharge fully (i.e.top it up every couple of months). But of course you lose one big benefit of using it - if you get a power cut you will lose some or all of what you are working on.0
