Bath Handles

Options
Hi Can anyone advise if it is possible to fit handles/grips to any new bath we buy? Would like an 800mm wide bath but can't find one with handles!

Many thanks in advanced

Thanks ormus but we have tried those. My 24 year old daughter now has right sided weakness and if you put too much weight on those suction handles they can slide or come off but thank you

thanks roger. do you think it would be possible to fit one of the grab rails to most acrylic baths? No good fitting to wall as it would be on her right and she has very little strength in right arm

  • How about turning the bath around & then fixing one to the wall?

There is no reasonnot to fit standard bath handles to any acrylic bath. You just need to drill the holes in the correct place. You'll be wanting something like these I suspect. Much nicer than standard grips and are soft to hang onto.

Don't try and drill a steel bath yourself. OK though if predrilled.

    Cheers

remember to use a spreader plate of some kind, on the back of the fixings.
    even hardwood may do it.

As long as you buy an acrylic bath with a flat edge, it would be very easy to fit handles to it.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Thank you so much for all your help. Finally found and ordered a steel bath with twin grips from qs supplies.
