Hi
I love the flowers idea. I sent my 8 year old niece a book - When I Was A Bridesmaid http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1841723118/ref=oss_product]] - with a card asking her to be my bridesmaid. She loved it - it let her dream about it for the time leading up to it and was a nice momento after the event. On the wedding day I gave her a little silver necklace and after the event I bought a little album which had 'Bridesmaid' on the front and put photos of her taken during the day in it (luckily I had thousands of photos taken!)
Let us know what you decide to do. And congratulations!0 -
I asked my adult BMs, but i still made them 'will you be my bridesmaid?' cards as I think it's a really nice gesture. You can explain why and then she will have that to keep with her memories. xI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Don't want to be a party pooper and I do think the flowers/ card ideas are brilliant but I would ring the parents in advance (ask them to keep it a suprise) to check dates etc before I asked the girls. That is if you haven't already invited them all and they have accepted, in that case I'll get my coat

Lol - I rather assumed she had done that already but good advice! I checked with SIL first as we were getting married abroad and waited until about 6 months before the wedding rather than making an 8 year old wait for a year before the big day. A year is FOREVER for an 8 year old I remember (just

Do we know what the OP decided on?
I'm so nosey!

Best update you then....
I have decide that I will send the girls a card each, with a bracelet or necklace inside.
Thank you ever one for your ideas. The flowers would have been lovely, but knowing their cats and dogs, I don't think they would have lasted long.0 -
That's a great idea. Something they can keep is lovely - and they can wear it on your wedding day perhaps?
Congratulations again. I hope that you have a fabulous day (I am sure that you will)!0 -
Brilliant! Thanks for the update :T0
