Do BSM still try to flog you 10 hours in the 'simulator' as part of their starter pack? They got me with that one and it was a complete waste of money.0

10 hours in the simulator? Please expand, elsietanner..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

I went with an independent for my driving lessons as he had taught a few of my friends and he was a bit of a maverick. We would have to have Stevie Wonder blaring from the CD player every lesson and he refused to wear a seat belt. This was all very well until I did an emergency stop as a cat ran across the road and his face hit the windscreen.0

My BSM instructor got me pulled over by the police twice. Once because she forgot to put the L plates on the car and the second time she was on her mobile phone. The second time was worse as I was on a dual carriage way
. It took me two years to pass! The only reason I passed at all is because she left BSM, so I went with an independent driving instructor.

i found an independent driving instructor and paid him £500 up front and told him to teach me until i passed. this meant i didnt care how many lessons i had but he did because it was in his interests to pass me as quick as possible. maybe people should try this in their local areas?0

So, how many lessons did you have? Did you make more on the average or did they? Did he make no limits, ie 3 tests worth of lessons for that money?Always ask ACAS0 -
I had the fantastic Clive from the AA.. brilliant guy, passed first time - Northants, Kettering area..
Loads of friends and family went with him too, in fact my sister got lessons off him first.

I wasted about 10 hours with BSM. I didn't pay for a block of 10 lessons, but they insisted I have a 2 hour lesson to begin with, then instructor insisted on 2hr lessons every week. I eventually said I only wanted an hour lessons, as I couldn't afford £40 a week. The lessons were usually spent drawing me silly diagrams of how parts of the car work for the 1st hour, then out of town driving for the 2nd hour. Final straw was when he shouted at me for stalling at a set of traffic lights.
Finally changed to a local instructor who was fantastic and I passed 1st time.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
Weight loss the old style way challenge - 7/14lbs :j0
