Everest Home Improvement !!!

I asked this company to come to my house to quote me for blocking my drive and front garden, their salesman called around twice and didnt even bother to take measurements!!! He then gave me a rough figure of £30-40,000 for doing the job and stated that I should really contact a local one man business to get the job done cheaper......I take it this was meant that I could not afford Everest goods??? Three weeks later their contact centre phoned me asking how things went, I advised them of the above and they stated that this should not have happened and asked for another chance to quote, I stupidly said yes. Needless to say they never turned up again and after i phoned them I received a call from their area manager who stated that Everest would not usually do such a big job (131.56m2) and there was nothing more they could do!!!! To say I am completly shocked at this level of customer service is an understatment. It it however good to see that in this day and age Everest are that busy they dont have to even try and get work. I did receive other formal quotes for the work by reputable local companies and it turns out that the average price for the work I want is only £12,000, good to see that Everest were going to supply such a competitive quote!!!!

Can't believe people even contact Everest or such companies these days. Why put yourself through a hard sell and overpay for average work?

As Neverindebt says you were lucky - £40k for a driveway LOL!!!

Get some local recommendations. I paid a local firm £70 a sq m. Its no surprise frankly that Everest wanted to charge you £228 per sq m upwards! Absolute con artists.
