Whats the chances of that- Lindsaypowell posts a better offer at EXACTLY the same time I posted!!
Except mine is USB I think, and the 500gb is AC power.

What I would like is an external hard drive on which I could play/burn DVDs.
The only one available for this at the moment i.e. Humax seems expensive to me!
We do have a good VCR which I thought I could use to avoid missing the programmes that are too late for me but my new digital TV will not talk to it.0 -
I wonder who manufactures the hardisk Segate or western digital ; most likely0

Usual Lidl offer where each store has about 1 or 2. You get to the store as soon as you can. In my case 10 minutes after it opens and you search for the hard drive with no luck. Then you ask and are told they have all been sold.0

Ha, yeah checked 2 and then phoned Lidl to be told all Edinburgh stores sold out.
Joke.
Thanks anyway OP.0 -
Try comet. They are doing 10% off hard drives with code 10HD and some have free delivery
http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/search.do?n=0&searchTerm=hard+drives
Theres a 500gb drive that comes to £40.49 with the discount
Just enter the code on the basket page before reserving or chosing delivery slot0 -
I had a wasted trip to Lidl, I thought that they might have some due to the poor weather keeping many people away, but I was told that they were sold out.
They probably got 1 per store which was bought by staff!!!!0
