DVD cut when stats uncut

Hi,

Need some advice, I brought a dvd that stated that it was the uncut however it has been cut in one scene (important scene). Can they claim that the DVD is uncut then? and if not what would it be covered under?

Thanks

    What is the film ?
It is quite possible it is 'uncut' however the version that the distributor submitted to the BBFC is different to the cinema version.

As above it might be uncut from the UK cinema version, but that may not be the same as the US version. This can be for any number of reasons, violence, drugs, animal creulty, sex, even a cut to get a certain certificate to boost audience. Some films are cut for time to squeeze in an extra show at the cinema.

    What film was it?

is it a disc that has both cut and uncut versions, if so maybe you accidentally chose the cut version without realising, occasionally dvds are double sided with one version on each side of disc
  • Did it say 100% uncut? If it didn't it's still uncut so maybe that's their get out?

Certain 'films' with Uncut in the title don't necessarily refer to the film being uncut...more, the 'actors' in the film.
