I bought lentils for the first time in my life.
Never bought or cooked them before.
Got an idea to make soup with them........
I bought red ones - are these the common garden variety ones?
What do you put lentils in?0 -
I use lentils in soups and curries and also sometimes to bulk out other things like shepherds pie. I use the red ones and just put them in with whatever I'm cooking until they are soft.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Oh yes they do make soup more filling as they are full of protienthey are tasty too, at least I enjoy them. You can make a nice soup with some fried off onions then add curry powder, lentils and water for a curried dahl type soup, yum!
