    http://www.pdamods.com/
  • The dixon discount code runs out on the 26/01/05 (DIXONS35) http://www.cantbarsed.com/dixons.htm It does say that it expires on the 16th but go through the link to dixons and they have got the expiry date as the 26th.

The pdamods price on there home page does not include vat and comes out at £423.99 http://www.pdamods.com/products.asp?cat=71

Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself. :)
I walk with the world & the world walks with me!
I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!! :D
  • My setup works flawlessly and I have no wires, (when running off a charged up battery) or only 1 wire to the Cig lighter when I want it charging !!!

I have an Ipaq 2210 with a compact flash receiver and a window mount, I watch video on the way to work then, use the satnav for driving round london !!! no hiccups no wires no hassle

This is just what mine looks like, there is no more to it (ie no wires) just the window suction cradle thingy

and as you can see the tomtom 3 looks the same as the one in tomtom go !!

If you load it on correctly it works fine, even on older ipaq's

Perhaps you can tell us where to get this setup for under £200.... to be honest, I doubt you can even get this under £300. Feel free to prove me wrong!

I hope you don't watch videos WHEN your driving! lol ::)
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)
  • Yes, but they still need to be recharged at some point, so you need a cable to do this. Anyway, the Fortuna GPSmart (as I'm sure you know) uses three AAA batteries (which can be rechargeable) so can be used cable free.

On a long trip I would currently have one cable providing power to the iPAQ, another powering the GPSmart, a third powering my iPod/iTrip, a fourth for the Valentine-1 radar/laser detector and possibly additional chargers for my XDA2, my wife's Nokia 6310i and/or my wife's laptop. Makes the cabin a bit untidy and it's a faff hiding it all away when we stop anywhere :-(

Ill bet it does! I was trying to teach my granny to suck eggs, you probably know a damn sight more about GPS than me, with that set-up your bound to!!!! :D Sounds like you need a 'false' dashboard to hide all your wires :);)
if i had known then what i know now

Can somebody please tell me whether the TomTom Go package includes the speed camera database? I have ordered this from Dixons using the code (£360) and although I placed my order on Wednesday it still hasn't been despatched. How long did everyone elses take to arrive?

    Thanks

You will NOT get the speed camera database.

You have to install this yourself

    It is available from.......
