Buy to let insurance

Hi all, first post here so be gentle.
I've just bought a property to let out in London and am having trouble finding good insurance relatively cheap.
Has anyone found a good provider?
Thanks in advance

Difficult to know how good insurance is unless you have a need to make a claim.
I used Xbridge last time. I find it is cheaper to change every year. The savings are not huge but I dislike high %age rises over the previous year when I've not made a claim. The companies go that extra mile to win your custom but seem less eager to retain you when renewal comes around.
I've owned a house for 21 years and a BTL for 5 years. Only ever claimed twice totalling about £500 - both on buildings. If these claims happened today I probably wouldn't bother claiming.
I believe my insurance for the BTL includes a small Contents liability as well as the rebuild costs.

I use leaseguard which was one of the cheapest when I shopped around. I have luckily never had to make a claim though so not sure how they are at handling claims. The web address is https://www.leaseguard.co.uk but I did mine over the phone.:A0

Crumbs - they quoted well over £400 for my BTL - not too clever against the £249.50 renewal charge from PAX Insurance that I was trying to better!
Unfortunately, I believe they only insure members of the Armed Forces (present and in my case, past)...

if its just buildings insurance then its a doddle to get it without any rating/increase on the policy. If you want contents then its not that difficult either. However, internet providers seem to be fussy on this but it isnt an issue for brokers.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
