Will Eurotunnel's insolvency affect Eurostar bookings?

I can't seem to find any information which I'm assuming is good?

I've just heard that Eurotunnel is probably going to file for bankruptcy. I've just booked a weekend away with Eurostar and am worried this will affect things.

Does anybody know if I should worry or not?

Hi Alfietinker, Don't worry, in the event that they file the administrators will want to protect their revenues coming in in order to try and sell it on as a going concern, it's also very likely that a provision has been made in the contract that Eurostar hold with Eurotunnel in the event that this might happen to protect their business. Failing that if you paid with a credit card that would protect you anyway and you would get a full refund

Thanks Guru, that's good to hear. I didn't pay with a credit card though and I've yet to get travel insurance - think I'll make that a priority today - just in case!
