CD/DVD Films/Games DVD cover needs better design?

Whenever i put/get my cd/dvd back to cd/dvd cover it always looks like the centre bit of the cd/dvd will come off due to the high resistance of centre bit of mounting holder(dvd cover)
It is not good designed, I had broken one dvd before in the centre bit. Do they have to come up with strong, robust design.
Games and DVDs are really costly are they doing this on purpose.

I see what you mean, ive broken a few cd jewel cases when trying to remove the cd as the plastic holding th disc in are so fragile0

on the dvd case, try pushing the central nipple down
makes it much easier
