in december,i bought a tv digital recorder from argos it didnt really work well from the start, so took it back today only to be informed that they have to send it back to the manufactures to see if it can be repaired and have to wait 2weeks to see if they can fix it. i thought as i had my receipt it would be replaced or refunded now im left without any recorder what are my right here

They do have the right to repair, refund or replace, they chose to see if it can be repaired. You, unfortunately, at the moment have no rights at all.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Touch and go if it gone a few weeks ago its reasonable to expect a replacement now its over 6-8 weeks its reasonable to expect a repair0

The reasonable period still allows them to send it off testing.
Your other chance for an for replacement would be repair must not serious inconvenience the customer but there still allowed to get the item checked out by someone who knows what there doing.0
