    This may be a stupid question but why will it take 10months to manage this change over? I understand you will have a shortfall until he receives his first monthly pay packet but after that you will presumably be back on track?

  • I vote for don't go anywhere. Sure, take time off work and spend it at home, but by the sounds of it your finances are tight and going on holiday will only make them tighter. Get out of one hole before climbing into another!
