New gereration parking fine

I have just recieved a Parking ticket from a company called New Generation Parking for overstaying 30 minuets in parking. The fine in question is dated 07/11/2009. I have only just recieved this ticket yesterday dated 10/02/2010 post mark dated on envelope 08/02/2010. There was no parking notice violation ticket on my car windscreen at the time of incident and this is the first I have heard of any parking violation.
Does anyone know what time frame there is on fines being sent out for these so called firms as like speeding NIP's which is 14 Days?

Any help would be much appriciated.

Regards Mike

Read other threads and the stickies. You will find the best solution is not to worry about it as they cannot enforce it anyway. Do not enter into any contact with the company! They will send some threatening letters and then disappear.

They are simply an unenforceable invoice. It is NOT a fine, and has no legal standing.
  • As above. It's a scam. Expect loads of rubbish through the post from so-called debt collectors and dodgy "solicitors" trying to scare you into sending them some money. Ignore it all and they will eventually give up.
  • Cheers for messages so far. Will certainly wait this one out and see what developes.
    Keep you posted.

As above, ignore it and other letters that will follow, nothing will happen.

Read this thread to understand the scam of private parking tickets:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1363571

Then, to read all the other hundreds of similar threads like yours on this subject, just click the 'parking fines, tickets and parking' blue link above (just underneath the Banking Saving tab at the top of the screen). Then click happily on each thread that mentions a private parking company (PPC) and you will see that everyone is told to ignore the whole scam.

Most of us on here have had a private parking ticket or a hundred - and ignored them. Nothing happens to you or your car or your credit rating as you haven't committed an offence.

Don't make the mistake of trying to compare it to a REAL fine!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi there,
just like to say 9 months has passed and heard nothing more from the so called parking fine company regarding my ticket, just goes to show that MSE has saved me from paying out to a rip off system that should be quashed.
Many thanks to all for your help and posts.

Thank you for updating us. This will act to reassure other people who might give in to PPC threats.
