Hi folks,in the process of building a new house which we will be trying to sell on, my question is regards tax will I be liable for capital gains? what exactly is the law on this any help appreciated we are in Scotland by the way.

I think the question may be better put as Why shouldn't you pay tax on a property you are building in order to sell? I think you need professional advice on this as there probably are different "vehicles" you may need to consider for this project, a limited company for instance. It so much depends on your circumstances and intentions.A house isn't a home without a cat.
