Loan offers from anonymous callers

Grrr - getting fed up with callers telling us we applied for a loan (and use this as an excuse as to why they are ringing when we are on Telephone Preference Service.)
Two have said they are from the Department of Financial Advisers!!! others give slightly more likely sounding, but false, company names.
If you give then the time of day (don't!) they go on an on about your mortgage (whether or not you have one) and how they can help you consolidate your debts.
I asked for their telephone number to call them back (and/or Trading Standards) and they had the CHEEK to quote my own number!!!!, except they forgot to give a leading zero, suggesting they are calling from abroad.
They claim to be in "Lindin", in Regent Street!!!!
Obviously, they are up to no good, but if perchance you have ever asked for a loan (we haven't) - don't be fooled into dealing with them. (Not that I can imagine any MSEer would be so daft as to deal with anyone who can't give an address or proper phone number!
Lord, they are annoying though!
