EBICo: Coming off direct debit?

I'm currently with EBICo and paying by direct debit to Southern Electric.
I've just reviewed all my bank and utility accounts. I've decided there is no point paying this by direct debit when I can earn interest of the money in my own account.
I haven't yet had a bill from Southern Electric (been with them for just under 3 months), but I understand that they increase the unit price by 5% to cover SE's 5% discount.
If I contact SE to come off direct debit (bearing in mind that most of their staff don't know anything about EBICo), will there be any trouble with the unit prices and splitting of the units on the next bill?
Thanks in advance

I always thought that the direct debit discounts you receive would far outweigh the pennies you would receive in interest.0

It is the same price however you choose to pay.
As you are aware, there is no discount for paying by DD with Ebico.
Also there is no longer any fiddling with the ebico unit prices to overcome their billing partner's software issue of giving customers a discount for payment by DD, the software has been modified so that no discount is awarded for paying by DD."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
