Has anyone had any problems with Scottish Power. I am a low user currently with BG Enery Smart and although the electricity prices are almost the same, the gas tariff is cheaper. Also, they are offering £110 cashback through topcashback, which is better than the £30 with uswitch. Just wondered if ther were any on-going probelms with SP?

Hi, I could be wrong but I belive the energy save 9 is a tie in contract till 2011. I have just moved to energy save 8 and am now tied in till December to stay with Scotish Power, although changing in future to a cheeper tarrif when one comes up is aloud. For me to change from Scottish Power before December wll incure a fine of £50.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Yes, it is a tie in contract. It's just that the cashback is very inviting:beer:

Hansi, would you not get the cash back for just changing energy suplier and picking a tarrif like mine or less so you are not tied in so long?
Prehaps you prefer a tied in contract?

Ps ... do i need 2000 post counts to have a silver star like you?

Yesd, I would get a cashback through uswitch etc, but only £30. The £110 from topcashback is particularly inviting:j. Regarding my "silver star" I don't know how I got got it. Just keep posting:)
