Hello
Hope this is an OK topic to be posted in this forum
Hubby and i are are looking to upgrade out current TV to a 32" Plasma. I found an LG & Hitachi but they seems to have been discontinued so i was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of :
1. What make / model to look at?
2. Best place to buy - where did you get yours?
We only want a 32" and hubby doesn't want an LCD screen (I've not tried to fathom his logic!!!!).
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Afaik the smallest plasma sets start at 40". A quick google shows that there are still 37" panasonic plasmas available, pretty sure i read somewhere that these where being discontinued with sizes starting at 40" up.Norn Iron Club member No 3530

Sorry, but as above, you'll be hard pressed to find a 37" plasma new, never mind 32". They're just not efficient to make or run at those sizes. Go bigger for plasma or have a look at better quality 32" LCDs - he may be pleasantly surprised by the quality...0

Why not get an LED? I have a slimline Samsung and can highly recommend it.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

You really do want an LCD regardless of what your hubby says. A LED screen is even better but these are still pricey. Plasma's do have darker blacks but you get screen burn and their lifespan is about half as long as LCD's. LCD's did get some bad rep when they first came out many years ago but you can't go wrong with any newer model and mine is 3 years old and its great.0 -

Utter rubbish, no screen burn on mine at all.
Picture quality on a Plasma is far superior to an LCD.0 -
Simba2K - stop repeating what the LCD salesmen told you 10 years ago. Also, I think you need to read up on the difference between an LED backlit screen, and an OLED screen.
Regardless, if OP is stuck at 32", the only option is for a flatscreen is LCD.0
