Obtaining an Adobe ID HELP PLEASE

I have just purchased a Sony E Reader and am so frustrated! I have downloaded Calibre as the Sony stuff is poor. I am now trying to authorise my reader and every time I get to the "obtain an adobe id" screen it freezes. I have also tried to download Adobe Digital Editions and the same thing, complete freeze up. What am I doing wrong and as a bit of a nerd, in laymans speak please.

I have reduced the security level to low to accept all third party cookies and it still does not work.

Hi, which browser are you using ? You need to get the adobe userid first then download digital editions. Try this first for the account https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm?nl=1&loc=en_us&nf=1

I am using internet explorer and the site you mention is the one I have been trying to access but it still keeps freezing

I have sorted it, downloaded Firefox and used that. Worked first time

Glad you are sorted, I always use FF and also use Callibre its much better than Sony Library;)
