Rio de janeiro, cheap flight?

Hello,
I want to go to rio in november for 2 weeks maybe 16 days but want to know the cheapest way.
I would prefer to fly from midlands, I know that mytravel fly to salvador for quite cheap, should i wait until near the time or book now? If any one did this last year, can you give any advice.

Could you possibly give a rough budget? I.e. what would you define as being cheap?

FYI

TAM is flying from LHR to Sao Paulo GRU starting in November. BA will have extra flights from LHR-GRU.

Air France fly direct from Paris to Rio. Don't know if BHX-CDG-RIO is possible.

I did notice that prices where the flight started in Brussels BRU were cheaper, if you have the time.
