Vax not answering me!

In November i bought a vax vacuum cleaner from argos. 2 days later the head snapped. Quick phonecall to vax and a free replacement was on the way. 3 days later it had arrived but was cracked but useable. Quick phonecall and another was ordered. Next day the handle snapped in my hand. I have limited mobility in my arms and very weak so there is no way i was being rough with it and the curve actually had like a split to add strength so in my opinion the design there is to blame.
But, the second brush head has not arrived and no phone calls are being answered or emails replied to. For 12 days now. I get to 1 in the queue and then it goes to 18.
I have tried every number i can find online and every email address.
I have spoken to argos and they have told me i can get a refund so at least i can buy a replacement and hoover this week. Argos couldnt get hold of anyone either.
Im guessing Vax are having difficulties and i wonder if they are going under.
Im definatly not replacing with another vax and about to search MSE for threads about good vacuum cleaners!

i too have a rubbish vax, the first one was not put together properly so went back to the store, then the pipe cracked, first one sent was for a different machine so i had to wait again for the correct one, now the handle has broken so i am waiting for yet another part to come, but they have answered my calls everytime, if you think they are ignoring your calls why not call them from a different number?0

i too have a vax that was replaced and now the same problem has occurred...i best get phoning them incase they are going under......been meaning to ring again but like you i had trouble getting through to them...0
