I'm a technophobe but have wittled our choice of laptops down to one of two. Can anyone comment out of the following, which would be best?
I'm struggling to see which of the following is better. Can anyone help?
P.S. have to have t-mobile as there's no "3" coverage round here.
toshiba L450D http://www.xma4ha.co.uk/Brands/Brands_Toshiba.aspx
samsung R519 http://www.xma4ha.co.uk/Brands/Brands_Samsung.aspx
only difference i can see is that the toshiba has a slightly faster processor.
Can anyone who knows more about computers comment please?

The Toshiba actually has an inferior processor becuase it is single core. The Samsung processor is dual core. Otherwise, there's not much difference. Both of these are very poor value computers - I guess you are buying them under the Home Access scheme, but does that cover other shops as well?0

Yes under Home Access. I know they are poor value. Only ones REALLY gaining from the scheme are the suppliers I guess0 -
Well, the Samsung would definitely be the better choice (unless you particularly want the HDMI port on the Toshiba). If it is slow when you get it, you might want to consider buying an upgrade to 2GB RAM (probably about £15).0

EDIT: Normal purchase price for that kind of spec is under £350.
If it was me, I would take the Samsung. It has a much better processor than the Toshiba.0 -
I just noticed that they have a next day onsite warranty and come with Microsoft Office - these would normally cost quite a lot extra, so perhaps they are not quite such bad value after all!0

Also just spotted the Laptop can be had for £400 not £528 that it shows in the big red circle. so maybe not as bad as previously thought.0 -
