Hello,
We got a small house in Turkey in holiday area which we're planning to sell (not much use for us and we need money for other things)
Could you please advise where would be best to start?
We want to cut out the middleman and prefer to advertise (at small cost), but I'm afraid of making huge mistakes all the way through, right from beginning
would be grateful for any info

Information - never enough, questions - always too many, decisions - not always the best

I would suggest you find a 'middleman' who is currently successfully selling houses in Turkey, in or close to the area where yours is, and hire him/her to sell it for you.....0

Having already gone through the buying process in Turkey, and having owned a property there, you are probobly far better placed than people here to answer your own question!0

By what route did you find the seller of the property in the first place? Land law is complicated, never mind in a foreign country where you don't have a brother-in-law who's a notary0

that's the thing the house was not bought on the market, it was from a family member so all legal bits and bobs were sorted by him, now as they have moved to Australia not much help for usInformation - never enough, questions - always too many, decisions - not always the best

Right. I think a good place to start researching is:
https://www.turkeyrealestate.co.uk
They deal with Marmaris and Bodrum and most of that peninsular area. I would take your time looking into what you think it might be worth and see the sort of thing that is actually selling and how it is presented.
There are lots of agents for property like that. You could just Google for example:
buy property in Bodrum
According to my sister-in-law (she lives in Antalya) Turkey has not been significantly affected by the recession. Make of that what you will! Good luck!0
