If you feel like that is a concern do you have some magic knickers? FWIW, I think a bit of a curve to the tum is feminine.
Do have some very effective corset things, but they are not much fun (obviously!) for a whole nights partying, so prefer not to wear them to often

LIR, you're thinking of Roland Mouret's Galaxy dress - you can get a pattern but apparently not a high street priced copy of this dress.

It might just be me but I think this is really pretty for an evening 'do'.
That is pretty, perhaps would like a bit of colour in a design like that though... also, I'm not sure sleeves are good for me- I think they made my arms look flabby when they're kind of cut in half- maybe just paranoid :o

probably not very cold february evening though?

I would, with a cheap, very bright pink, green or orange pashmina. Shivering burns calories.

This is the dress your thinking of re Carol Vorderman I think http://www.tellytoad.com/post/carol-vorderman-roland-mouret-galaxy.aspx

I've had a hunt around and the only thing similar I can find is by Victoria Beckham for big bucks:(

    Still looking........

The dress you linked to on Asos might be tricky with the back/underwear issue.
Are you looking for a control underwear and fitted look or floaty forgiving one?
I hate control underwear, It never holds it in that well,I need to do some manual sucking in too, and the pants are so uncomfortable, maybe I haven't found the right pair?
My tummy is (between you and me) about 5 months pregnant still when I just let it hang and the pants can't handle it lol!
Yeah thinking about it, my 'want it' says fitted, my sensible head says floaty :)

You wouldn't.... would you?! Don't think I'd dare do even one bright colour this time of year... 2 together?!

Or a cute little cardigan? I've got one like that in red which I wear with a black cardi.
  • How about a pencil dress from Vivien of Holloway?

A teeny bit over budget at £59 but they are so flattering around the tummy and bust area.

No - floaty will skim your mum tum and makes you look bigger than you are. Fitted will give you shape - honestly! here speaketh woman with mumtum!

    my sensible head

If I were being cheeky I would insert a rolling head smilie or few, a la Hamish. Most importantly you have big personality, I wouldn't try to dress as if you haven't/
