++++ CAR INSURANCE HELP ++++

I am 19 and have been driving for almolst 3 years now. I drive a 5 dr Ford Fiesta Finesse 1.3, K reg. I haven't done pass plus, and can't do it now as its too late >:( ...

My first years insurance was £1400, 2nd years (this years) was £1100, but since then I have had 3 claims !

1st was when my spare wheel fell out from under the car, as the holder rusted off, i pulled in2 get it off the motorway and a wee metro drove over it, that was a write off. The other 2 were when i went into the back of a car which in turn hit the car infront of them. So they both had a few bumps.

Now my insurance is due in the next few months, and I'm dreading it. Not sure what its gonna be, does anyone know of any deals in which companies are offering, or any companies that are on the cheap just now.

I would only be looking for 3rd party really, its an old car. hope to spend under £1500 aswell.

If u can offer ne advice please do !

thanks ;)

    Unfortunately you are probably looking at 2k+.Suggest you try :-

    privilege
    tesco
    directchoice
    quotelinedirect
    motorquotedirect
    quinn-direct.com

    It's not good news I'm afraid.
  • Hmmm, not good, if it is alot, is there a big difference between the insurance groups, a fiesta is a grp 4, a corsa is 2 i think. And same with engine size, i could live with 1 litre. Whats the differences ?

    Also ne tips with sharing with parents etc

    The lower the group the lower the price obviously but each insurance company decides what the %age differences between the different groups are.A group1 car could save you £3-400 on the insurance

    Adding the girl friend or your mum could bring the price down. Also as you are insuring an old car get a quote for TPFT and when the site asks you to choose the excess choose the highest possible as this is only a fire/theft excess. Some sites will allow a discount for this. The car is worth £400 tops so it would hardly be worth claiming for fire or theft anyway because of the ncd you would lose.
