I know iv done the above but it will be weeks before they leave, my girlfriend is too threatened to stay in the house her self its mainly a girl who is the problem. She is refusing to stay in the flat and will not budge so im here myself at the minute as iv no where else to go..
No you haven't, we only advised you to do this two days ago. What is the point in lying to people on a forum? Will try approaching her nicely tomorrow to see if we can mutually end the agreement, failing that i will have to get my belongings and leave and kiss the deposit good bye...
what would be the repocussions?
Nobody can answer that. We advised you on the earlier thread that your landlord doesn't understand the legislation (28 days notice??) so really anything could be threatened at this point. You need to submit your notice in writing via recorded delivery, at least that way you know your tenancy will be terminated at the end of month six at the latest. Use the opportunity to state that you are surrendering the property immediately and ask for a checkout, as you don't want to be chased for any damage after you leave.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Firefox, you says im lying to people on the forum? And how exactly do u know what ive done today? u stalking me? lol nah but i said earlier i reported it to the police this is what i was referring to when i said iv done that.
so before you jump the gun and look for a forum arguement just step back and look at what i posts. Basically all im after is advice thats all, The property has no damage what so ever. I only used her stuff for about 2/3 weeks untill i was on my feet then i bought my own.
As for you stating that my landlord doesnt understand the legislation... The things i have stated were just the best to my knowledge not facts of what she has definately done. The company is a multi million pound company all over the UK . They are called AWG property, i really do not think they will make a mistake with regards to legislation.
Anyway I will keep you updated tomorrow with what she says...0 -
Use the relevant agencies: make statements to the police (criminal damage or threats), Environmental Health (noise or unsanitary conditions) and the antisocial behaviour unit at your local council.I know iv done the above but it will be weeks before they leave, my girlfriend is too threatened to stay in the house her self its mainly a girl who is the problem. She is refusing to stay in the flat and will not budge so im here myself at the minute as iv no where else to go..
Clearly you have NOT exhausted this route in the last two days, you would need to make several reports to the police to get a restraining order, you would need to keep a noise diary for EH and I struggle to believe they hand out ASBOs overnight. As for you stating that my landlord doesnt understand the legislation... The things i have stated were just the best to my knowledge not facts of what she has definately done. The company is a multi million pound company all over the UK . So now who is calling who a liar? Several posters told you a tenant must be served with two months notice to quit - read sections 8 and 21 of the Housing Act 1988 for yourself. There are plenty of companies who breach the legislation, read the boards and read the newspapers! What is the point of asking for advice, not believing it and then asking for more advice from the same people?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
