i hope this is the right forum for posting this. I'm looking to buy a laptop which i can link, when i want, to my new HD tv so i will need a HD port on it. Not worried about huge memory as i have an external memory drive. Would like it for surfing the web mainly. Not for games really.. I'd ideally like dual core processor and 2 gbs of RAm. Any suggestions on where i should start looking?

You'll get cheaper laptops if you go down the AMD route.0

Have you thought about what kind of size you would like - are you likely to carry it about much?0

I speak from having seen this earlier in the week at work: http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1540589020.1265842182@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdjadejikkdlfjcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=440921&category_oid=
Compaq CQ61-416
AMD Athlon x2 dual-core @ 2.1GHz
3GB Memory
250GB hard drive
(up to) 6 hours battery
£379.99
Looks like a pretty good price, although my knowledge of laptop prices may have been skewed recently by a complete lack of decent laptops at work between £300-£400

There is this one a comet can recomend it as i bought about month ago has intel celeron dual core and HDMI output webcam 5-in-1 cardreader and windows 7, very quick for general use, i have hooked it up to my HD tv and its very good, and if you use code AW15 it takes price down to £354.99.
