Hi, I just had a £230 chargeback from someone I sold a set of wheels to back in November, exactly the same message as the OP from Paypal who have taken the money. I have positive feedback from the buyer on Ebay, a FedEx tracking Number and delivery address, signed and dated. What do I need to do please as this is the first time it has happened and I am in unknown territory. I filled in the form for Paypal with the details they asked for but does this mean I will get the funds back? Thanks for your help.
Paypal will ask you to provide a tracking no. if they haven't done already and as long as it shows it has been delivered you will get your money back0 -

Hi, yes it has definitely been delivered, I have sent Paypal the FedEx information showing proof of delivery and signature, plus the positive feedback on Ebay for the item.
Thank you for your help.0 -
It shows not many people read the ebay board on here, to find out what to do and NOT to do so you dont get scammed ectCOMPETITIONS - 2010 Cushelle Koala, Shirt from Simply Colours, £10.00 Iceland Voucher, Grand Designs Live Tickets x4, Babee Pre-Paid Card, Wii Game, 7night's Holiday, Book x2, Bic Razor0

I'm joining the website after the event rather than before it. Had I known about this site in advance I would have done something about it, same goes for the OP by the looks of it.0

Welcome to MSE!
One tip though, be persistent with paypal as they do not fully understand their own rules. keep on at them, log into your paypal account every day and see if the status of the dispute has changed, phone them and make a note of who you talk to. Do not be complacent as they will try and get you to pay up for this even though they should be protecting you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you, I will try to do this but it is quite difficult as Paypal is banned at my work during the day. I do have a phone number for them too so I can just keep on at them that way I guess.0

Very useful info, thank you. Incidentally I used to work with someone called Stephen Garner when I was involved in the insurance industry at Zurich Life...it's not you is it?0

I've got a payment I received "held" this week. Think it's because they have reversed it? I've emailed paypal the details after they contacted me to let me know.
I used the paypal verified address, and sent by special delivery, so I'm covered, correct?
I can't believe how cheeky people are when I know their address, and have a proof of signature so know it's arrived. Though is it possible their bank declined it and it's a mistake?0 -
It may be held pending positive feedback from the buyer or because you need to upgrade your PayPal account due to the amount that has gone through it in a certain period of time.
Sorry for being a bit vague but I am no expert on these matters, just a "casual" eBay/PayPal user.
Soolin will probably be able to be more accurate when she comes back.0
