Non paying buyers 3 in 1 month

My first non paying buyer just never responding after winning the auction, gave up, wrote off the fees and relisted. The second gave me a sob story after winning on 16 June that she couldn't pay until 1 Jul, still no payment and not responding - I filed a dispute on the 10 Jul. The third won 27 June got in contact on the 2 July and said she was sending payment and to let her know when it arrived. No sign of payment and not responding to messages - I opened a dispute today for this one. All 3 were 5 or less feedback.
All my others are great I don't mind waiting for payment as long as they keep in touch and pay when they say they will.

Have you thought about adding buyer requirements to your listings? This could possibly reduce the number of NPB that you are experiencing.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I feel your frustration - I had 4 non-paying buyers in the space of a month recently. It's a real pain. I sold one of the items on a 2nd chance offer, but had to relist the others.0

I have had 3 non payers this month as well!
I have reported them all to ebay, is it a myth that they are penalised in some way by ebay?0 -

If you open a non-paying buyer dispute and they are awarded a strike: that's a penalty. Definitely worth filing as if they get enough strikes they get kicked off ebay.
Kind of like a yellow card except that no-one really know how many they're allowed to get...My TV is broken!

I suppose in the ideal world they should have their accounts deleted with something like 3 non paying disputes. They should also not be allowed to give feedback on the non paid item after the listing fee has been refunded.
This will allow the seller to give a negative feedback without a retalation negative feedback being given by the non paying buyer.
But knowing ebay they could not care a less

I had a really sick one. About two hours after the end of the auction I had an email from the buyers "friend" saying she had been killed in a car crash and therefore couldn't pay.
So the friend had her password ?
She was kicked off ebay within a few days.0 -
jazzy, it used to be 3 strikes and you are out but now it depends on the feedback of the buyer and the time limit the strikes are received in. So for a new buyer they might get banned on the second NPB strike, for more established buyers it might take 4 or 5 strikes over a period of a year or two.
Also, if a buyer does not respond formally to the nPB dispute then they cannot leave a feedback rating.
lastly, listing fees are not refunded on an NPB complaint, only the FVFs.
