Halifax Childrens account - proof of identity query?

Hi
Hope someone can help.
Filled in an online application for childrens accounts with Halifax for my 2 sons ages 15 and 11.received a form to sign and return today and i now need to go into the branch with some proof of identity for them.I have their birth certificates but the prob lies in the id for me.They are in their dads surname and we seperated 10 years ago and both have always lived with me.It says on the form i have to take some id with both the same surname and address as my children.
Not sure what to do now but surely im not the only parent whos been in this position?
I thought about my tax credit award notice or child benefit letter( as this confirms my link with them) but both have my old address on them as we only moved 6 months ago.
Its the branch i bank with so would they poss confirm my identity by this..finding it v confusing and and advice would be appreciated.
Hope someone can help.

I can't be specific about Halifax but I did think that children of that age had to be in the branch with you as the accounts would be in their names.
Were you married and now divorced? If so a marriage certificate and a decree absolute should do the trick.
Failing this phone tax credits and advise them of new address and ask for an update as to how much you are entitled and use this.
They cannot ID you just by knowng you - they have to have official documentation.0
