We're finally moving - HELP!!!

Well the saga that is our move is finally nearly over!! After a 4 month wait which has seemed like four years, we're finally moving tomorrow!!
And now the panic has started!! We've booked the van, phoned all of the utilities (well... all of the ones I can think of...), packed everything... can anyone think of anything that we might've missed? What are the most common things for people to forget about?!?
Thanks in advance!

Have you redirected your mail?
Sent a change of address letter to "everyone" - banks, building societies, pension schemes, doctor, dentist etc....
There's a list here or you can simply select those you want to inform and that site does it all for you (apparently).
Remember to change the address for your Driving License and road tax.
Are you leaving a note or flowers or something for the new owners? Do you want to leave them with a forwarding address - mail will get delivered on Saturday and next week as it takes up to 2 weeks for the redirection to kick-in.
Have you checked that your contents insurance will cover your belongings for the move? Have you arranged to transfer the insurance over to the new property?
Are you emptying/defrosting the freezer?
Any children or pets that need to be taken care of?
Any milk or newspaper deliveries to cancel?
Have you planned a box of essentials for the new home? e.g. tea/coffee, milk, sugar, kettle, mugs, spoons, loo roll
etc Food to keep you going during the day?
Might be an idea to ply your removals men with tea during the day .... always helps to keep them on side.
hhmmmmm..... anything else, anyone?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

That sounds pretty comprehensive! We're moving on Friday too, only other thing we've done is print our a list of all utility company numbers (at both ends) ready to ring in meter readings.

The best advice I've had is to pack an overnight bag for the first day in a new house. Pack it as if you are going to a hotel. There will be nothing worse than not being able to find soap, toothbrush and a nice change of clothes for your first day of unpacking!0
