Wonder if anyone would be able to help please? I am trying to find the address for Santander to send my first letter to for copies of transactions. Would anyone know of the address please?

With Best Wishes

Hi and welcome LLBHons, it will be same address as before (Abbey)

    Data Protection Manager
    Regulatory Compliance
    Abbey House
    201 Graftons Gate East
    Milton Keynes
    MK9 1AN
  • Does anyone know how I can contact the Santander Data Protection Compliance Team by telephone?

I sent them a letter requesting my bank statement from January 2000. Sent the £10 cheque and have just received in the post complete bank statements from 2007 to 2013! I am in the process of making a PPI claim for a loan I took out in 1997 and the PPI team say they cant find any evidence that I ever made payments (which I did for the full term of the loan). Hence my need for the 2000 bank statement to show that a payment was made.

    Frustrating or what!!

Artoisk9 - You've reached a dead-end. They're supposed to destroy customer data that is no longer of relevance, and most institutions take the view that that is the case for any records over 6 years old. They can't give you the statement because they don't have it, you also no longer have any records, so it's virtually certain that they'll pay nothing back to you.

  • Hello

Can anyone help confirm that Santander's address is still the same as the one quoted on this thread back in 2010?

I have tried looking for the information via the Santander website but it shows a Bradford address for compalints and a London address for corporate information; I would like to write to them with my first request letter to try reclaiming bank charges. :(

Many thanks and all good wishes.

The address above was specificially to contact the Data Protection Manager to request a SAR.
The Santander website now suggests you can do this either ion any branch or by calling them.

If you wish to ask the bank to consider refunding you any bank charges, you need to make a complaint in line with their complaints procedure. The addrees on their website to send such a complaint is indeed a Bradford one. :)

How many letters are you planning on sending? You "first" letter should be your last.

If you are not in current financial "hardship" then the Bank will not even consider refunding any charges and even if you meet the hardship criteria then only charges from typically the last six months will have any chance of refund.

If your request is for a refund of historical charges, you are simply wasting your time.
